SHORT BIO
Nikos Mastorakis is the CEO of “DIGEA S.A. Digital Provider” since June 2016.
Digea was established in 2009 and on February 7, 2014, was accredited as Digital Terrestrial Television Services Provider by the "Hellenic Telecommunications & Post Commission". The company’s main area of activity centers on the provision of multiplexing and digital terrestrial transmission services to national as well as to regional television stations in Greece.
Nikos Mastorakis combines an extensive and long experience in managerial positions of multinational organizations in Greece and abroad.
He worked as Head of Acquisitions / Integration at “Vodafone – hol” (2014-2016) while previously he held managerial positions at Vodafone Greece (1996-2014, Chief Technology Officer, Technology & IT Director, Engineering Manager), at Ericsson Sweden and at Intracom Telecom (1990-1996).
He has also been the Chairman of “Victus”, the Network Sharing JV between Vodafone and WIND (2013-2014), as well as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at “Vodafone Greece” (2006-2014).
Nikos Mastorakis holds an MSc in Telecommunications Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the same Institution.
His passions are tennis, windsurfing, mathematics and reading.

Digea was established in 2009 by the privately – owned nationwide television stations ALPHA, ANTENNA, MAKEDONIA TV, MEGA, SKAI and STAR. In 2014, following an international tender, it was granted the exclusive spectrum usage rights for all free, nationwide and regional, commercial DTT broadcasts in Greece.
Digea's vision is to optimize TV experience by enabling everyone to explore the world of digital terrestrial television in a technologically advanced, affordable, and user-friendly way.
This vision of transforming simple TV viewing into a high-quality service is becoming reality thanks to the valuable experience and know-how of its people as well as the availability of high-tech equipment such as state-of-the-art encoding systems.
In this context, Digea has led and facilitated the smooth and efficient transition of Greece to the digital era by taking an active role in the implementation of the digital transition project, the second phase of which has been completed in Autumn 2021.
