SHORT BIO
Dimitris Anagnostakis studied Pharmaceutical Science at the University of Patras.
He joined Boehringer Ingelheim Hellas SA in 1991 with specialization in hospital products. During 1996-2002, he took on various positions in Marketing and in the following two years, he becomes Head of Hospital Business Unit. After the company’s restructuring, he becomes Head of Marketing & Oncology Business in 2004, a position held until 2013.
For the subsequent period, he has been relocated to the Company’s head office in Ingelheim, Germany, as Regional Business Manager for Italy, France and Spain. Since July 2014, he is the President and Managing Director of Boehringer Ingelheim Hellas SA for Greece and Cyprus.
On behalf of Boehringer Ingelheim Hellas, Dimitris Anagnostakis is a member of Directors of Hellenic - German Chamber of Commerce (AHK) and holds the position of Vice President.
He is also member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE) and Vice President responsible for Scientific Affairs and Clinical trials.

According to the independent organization Thomson Reuters, the pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim has been appointed as one of the 100 most innovative companies in the world. Boehringer Ingelheim started its business in Greece in 1966. The subsidiary, like its parent, is owned by the Boehringer family and is not listed on the stock exchange. In 1973 Boehringer Ingelheim Hellas was founded, and in 1975 the opening of its factory in Koropi began.
Today the company has the following activities in Greece:
1. Responsible for the distribution (market authorization) of its innovative medicines in Greece and Cyprus.
2. Responsible for the approval of medicines for animal health in Greece (cooperation in marketing with the company Gerolymatos SA).
3. Production of medicines in its own unit in Koropi.
4. Export activity of its medicinal products.
5. Participation in the international clinical studies program of the parent company.
